Between Loches and Beaumont-Village

At the Cactus et Agaves educational farm, a surprise awaits you. Wallabies leap close to emus, while toy goats and llamas watch you curiously. This unusual farm, nestled in the heart of the Indrois valley, is home to over 300 animals.

Take time to explorethe adjoining Végétalerie, where the greenhouses are bursting with succulent plants. Children will love feeding the waved parakeets and discovering the fascinating world of cacti. By appointment, take part in educational workshops that reveal the secrets of this unique ecosystem in Touraine.

    Activities and entertainment at the farm

      Meeting the animals

      The long-awaited moment arrives: bottle-feeding the Charmoises ewes, stroking the Angora rabbits, observing the hens of ancient breeds. These special encounters take place in small groups, under the benevolent gaze of passionate farmers. The Peu Pintureau farm has some unique surprises in store with its fifteen mischievous Poitevin goats.

      Morning-goers attend the cow milking, while families often prefer the afternoon workshops to discover the life of organic pigs in the open air. On the heights of Sepmes, the Cabri au Lait farm offers magical moments around its organic certified goat herd.         Workshops and courses for all ages

        Dive into the exciting world of courses at the Moulin de Léonie farm. With your hands in the flour, learn the secrets of traditional milling during friendly workshops. A mill with stone millstones reveals its mysteries, while the younger ones are introduced to organic pastry-making.

        At Le Cabri au Lait, put yourself in the shoes of a cheese-maker for a morning. Themed courses guide you through the transformation of milk into delicious goat’s milk cheeses. The farm also offers workshops on aromatic and medicinal plants.

        Gardening apprentices discover permaculture techniques at the Jardins de Contrat. Set in 80 unspoilt hectares, try your hand at growing seasonal vegetables and tending fruit trees.
