It takes just over 1 hour by TGV to travel from Paris Montparnasse station to Tours station. Some TGVs stop a little earlier, at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps: then reach Tours in 5 minutes via a rail shuttle. Other direct TGV links are available with the Ile-de-France region: Massy (Orly airport), Marne-la-Vallée (Disneyland) and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport.
From Paris-Austerlitz station, the journey to Tours by Train Express RĂ©gional (TER) is a little longer, but a little cheaper. Above all, it stops at Amboise station, if that’s your destination in Touraine. Note also that from Nantes, the TER allows you to reach the station at Langeais in 1h30.
For the main towns and cities, journey times are as follows: Bordeaux (2h), Reims (3h), Lille (3h00), Metz & Nancy (3h30), Brussels (3h40), Lyon (4h), Strasbourg (4h), London (5h), Marseille (5h30).
