Weekend outings From Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th October

For three days, the Laudacius estate (Montlouis-sur-Loire) is holding an open day. Make the most of it to discover their new ‘Chromatic’ tour!

On Friday evening, take part in the Bacchus festivalin Artannes-sur-Indre, featuring a 7.6 km run, as well as walking and mountain biking trails scheduled for Sunday.

Saturday: a guided tour of the former Marmoutier Abbey (Tours), theatre at La-Ville-aux-Dames as part of the Festhéa National Amateur Theatre Festival, and a twilight walk through the natural surroundings of the Candé estate (Monts).

Saturday and Sunday:‘Le banquet du roy’gourmet days at the La Chopinière du Roy vineyard (Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil).

Sunday: Giant Halloween Cluedo at the Cité Rétro Mécanique Maurice Dufresne (Azay-le-Rideau), theAzay-le-Rideauautumn fair, the Bernache festival in Reugny, and theCéré-la-Rondegoat fair.

A good restaurant?

A good dinner is always a good idea. For example, at the Chenin restaurant(Vernou-sur-Brenne), the XII in Luynes, the Table du Prieuré in Le Louroux…

Weekend outings From Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November

Whether in a château, a cellar or via an escape game, Halloween takes many forms in Touraine! And if you’re not keen on pumpkins, why not make the most of this weekend to visit the exhibitions listed below, which finish this Sunday:

Les Pas du Silence, at the Prieuré Saint Cosme (La Riche);
Emmanuel Lansyer and Japan (Loches);
Karen Knorr inhabits the château (Azay-le-Rideau);
Calder at the Château du Rivau (Lémeré).

OTHER EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

Friday: food and wine pairing tasting at the Château de Chenonceau, at 7 pm.
Saturday: a discovery tour at 11.00 am of the goat and rose farm in Sepmes; a candlelit evening tour of the Royal Château of Amboise at 6.00 pm; the Ellipse electronic music show at the Parc des Expos in Tours.
Sunday: Lignières-de-Touraineflea market, the 10km run in Véretz, the chocolate and gastronomy fair in Loches, and an open day at the Domaine du Mouton Noir (Chançay). At 3 pm, the autumn workshop at the Pagode de Chanteloup (Amboise) will give young visitors the chance to make a Chinese dragon.
