What to do this weekend! Alongside Valentine’s Day and the events planned for the winter holidays, discover below our selection of ideas for your next weekends in Touraine!

Weekend diary From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February

Are you curious? Go and discover or rediscover theHôtel Consulaire in Tours, which has been hosting Courants d’Art for several months now. New artists have joined the adventure! And don’t forget the Dominique Spiessert and Madeleine de Sinety exhibitions at the Château de Tours.

On Saturday, a Playmobil exhibition opens at the Château de Langeais. On Sunday, sports enthusiasts can set off on the 9km or 18kmUrban Trail de Tours!

OTHER EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

Friday: fondue evening at Château de Rochecotte(Les Coteaux-sur-Loire), show by comedians Pierre Thevenoux and Thomas Angelvy at the Palais des Congrès in Tours.

Saturday: truffle market in Richelieu, guided tour of the Colbert district of Tours, solidarity tour of the Val d’Amboise, concert “La nuit du Blues” in La Ville-aux-Dames, and the show “Elie Semoun en plateau” in Château-Renault.

Sunday: brunch at Château de Beauvois(Saint-Etienne-de-Chigny) and Château de Rochecotte, Valentine’s Day walk in Monnaie, or a few skates on the temporary ice rink inAmboise.

Weekend outings From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 February

At theHôtel Goüin (Tours), the Hors limites exhibition comes to an end this weekend. Nearby, another exhibition opens in the CCCOD ‘s black gallery: “Notes & intrigues pour une comédie institutionnelle”. Quite a programme!

If you’re more in the mood for music, there’s something for everyone at Aucard d’Hiver, as well as the Beaulieu-lès-Loches winter festival.

  • Friday: Shen Yun show at the Palais des Congrès in Tours, which also takes place on the following days.
  • Saturday: truffle market in Marigny-Marmande, “Sowing and planting” talk by Xavier Mathias in Chédigny, guided tour of the Charlemagne Tower in Tours, and nature work camp at Lac de Rillé.
  • Sunday: Les 2 rives mountain bike trail in Véretz, and why not… the La Touraine Tropicale exhibition at the Musée de la Préhistoire in Grand-Pressigny.

Weekend outings From Friday 20 to Sunday 22 February

Its origins date back to 1869… and it’s still there in the heart of winter, the Manthelan Carnival. On Sunday, bring the whole family to enjoy the parade, the merry-go-rounds, the gourmet village… and 7 musical groups!

On Saturday and Sunday, the VinoTours organic wine fair takes place in La Ville-aux-Dames, and Retrouver Prévert will delight theatre-lovers atBourgueil Abbey.

  • Friday: tasting of old vintages at the Vouvray cellar, and Candlelight concert in tribute to Queen and Hans Zimmer at the Palais des Congrès in Tours.
  • Saturday: “Pic ou pas pic” nature outing with the LPO in La Ville-aux-Dames, and introduction to wine tasting with Rendez-vous dans les vignes, in Chançay.
  • Sunday: Daffodil hike at Sepmes, or Drôles de Bêtes exhibition at the Tours Natural History Museum.

Weekend outings From Friday 27 February to 1 March

The Korean Tours Festival is a major event dedicated to South Korean culture and pop culture, combining K-pop, gastronomy, cosplay, webtoons, gaming and much more over 6,000 m² at the Palais des Congrès in Tours. It’s a festive, immersive experience that celebrates both Korean traditions and contemporary cultural phenomena, with a host of guests, events and exhibitors.

  • Friday:Elodie Poux show at the Tours exhibition centre, and Chinese New Year celebrations at the Bateau Ivre.
  • Saturday: nature outing “les percussionnistes de la forêt” with the LPO in Amboise, field trip on the trail of the beaver at the Maison de la Loire in Montlouis-sur-Loire, and evening concert with Swing Acoustic Project at Château d’Artigny(Montbazon).
  • Sunday: flea market organised by the Sepmes festival committee, and walks and mountain bike rides in Saint-Epain.
