Weekend outings From Friday 20 to Sunday 22 June

In many towns and villages, take advantage of the concerts organised to mark the fête de la musique. One example? Luynes, where the music association will be celebrating its 150th anniversary! Also worth mentioning is the presence of a trio of Afro-Cuban music at the domaine Grosbois (Panzoult) on Friday 20 June, and the fêtes musicales de Touraine, which come to a close this weekend at the Grange de Meslay.

At Tours, head to the hôtel Goüin to discover the exhibition celebrating the 25 years of the Offard workshop, a specialist in plank wallpaper. The royal fortress of Chinon has opted for an exhibition on the Royal Treasures, while the château de l’Islette (Azay-le-Rideau) will be going Venetian with some fine costumed parades in the grounds.

Friday, a surprising wine tour, at the domaine de la Jarnoterie (Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil);
the Chinon Classic, an event dedicated to vintage cars and motorbikes;
On Saturday and Sunday, open doors at the Château Gaudrelle estate (AOC vouvray) and a book fair at the Chartreuse du Liget (Chemillé-sur-Indrois) ;
a new Orangerie dinner, offered at the château de Chenonceau;
a great cycling getaway near La Chapelle-sur-Loire,
the bee festival, on Sunday in Champigny-sur-Veude.

By bike!

Get on your bike and head out for some fresh air on Touraine’s major itineraries or cycling loops. One suggestion: spend the weekend in the Huttopia village, hire a bike and cycle around Lake Rillé!

Weekend outings From Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June

Cap on the château royal d’Amboise, which is offering an exceptional bivouac in the garden and a concert by the Orchestre d’Harmonie d’Amboise, on 28 June as part of the solstice.

At Tours, shop for bargains at the artisanales nocturnes on Place Chateauneuf (Friday and Saturday evenings), escape via the Japan Tours Festival, or let yourself be enchanted on Sunday by the notes of the festival 37° à l’ombre within the cloitre de la Psalette. And while we’re on the subject of music, there’s sure to be a big crowd at the festival des Horizons de Saint-Avertin to come and applaud Yannick Noah. Petite Cité de Caractère, Beaulieu-lès-Loches will also be coming alive with its festival du Solstice, featuring only female voices this year.

OTHER OUTINGS THIS WEEKEND

All weekend, investigate with Heritage Cluedo at Bléré in the heart of the Yéyé years, a murder party at château de Moncontour (Vouvray), and a giant Cluedo on Sunday at Cité rétro-mécanique d’Azay-le-Rideau.
On Saturday, attend the 2nd 2025 session of the summer heritage festival, at the château de Poillé (Charentilly), or the open house at the atelier d’Offard (Tours) which is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
At Restigné, the domaine du Petit Bondieu is holding its open house. Not far away in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, you can also visit the troglodytic cellars of the domaine Drussé.
A Saint-Genouph, enjoy the unmissable foire aux entrecôtes, while in Reugny, Château Louise de La Vallière is planning a special dinner at barbecue.
And don’t forget a nature outing with the dimanches de la Rabouilleuse, from the Ile de la Métairie.
