Recognised as the patron saint of winegrowers, Saint Vincent is honoured each year by wine brotherhoods throughout France. The arrival of the new vintage can thus be celebrated as it should be!
Every year, the winegrowers of the Vouvray AOC celebrate Saint Vincent, their patron saint, in traditional costume. This Vouvray custom has been handed down from generation to generation, perpetuating the know-how of the region's winegrowers. It's also an opportunity to dedicate a prayer to their benefactor, and another for the next vintage to make sure it's just as good as the last! The festivities will take place in the cellars of the Bonne Dame after the traditional musical parade through the streets of Vouvray. The day begins with a religious celebration in the Vouvray church. Meals will be available from Vouvray town hall by January 17.
