The script, written by Frédéric Sonntag, tells the story of a former Brazilian football legend: Sо́crates. Sо́crates reflects on his team's defeat in the 1982 World Cup. A second character appears, Socrates, who steps out of the shadows and invites Sо́crates to examine his life, his unusual career path, and his conception of football and the world in order to understand the meaning of defeat. What do we gain from losing?
