Don’t hesitate to stop off for a refreshing bubble: their natural temperatures (between 10 and 12°C) make them the perfect place for maturing and preserving the sparkling, dry or sweet wines specific to the Vouvray appellation. Not only do these cellars provide welcome coolness in summer, they also offer total immersion in the region’s wine-growing culture.
Produced from the Chenin Blanc grape variety planted in 8 communes, this wine is carefully crafted to capture the aromas of the terroir. After the harvest, it is matured directly in the cellars to become sparkling or still wines. Vouvray producers use these natural spaces to refine the flavours of their wines, using different vinification techniques depending on the estate.
