A new museum trail based on a themed bilingual (French/English) journey opening in spring 2018 aims to present the fate of the men and women who left their mark on the site inside these two spaces.
Located in the Indre Valley, the royal city of Loches is part of the great family of Loire Valley châteaux. Built on a long rocky spur, the fortified city is dominated by an imposing keep, a masterpiece of medieval military architecture.
From the lower town to the fortress, the winding streets are lined with architectural gems, including the Romanesque Saint-Ours Collegiate Church with its pyramidal towers and the late medieval royal residence, a major site in French history that welcomed Joan of Arc, Agnès Sorel and Anne of Brittany.
Following a themed route, the interactive tour recounts the destinies of the men and women who left their mark on the history of these places. Immersive augmented reality tour of the keep, thanks to the Histopad. The Royal City of Loches also hosts a new exhibition every year, as well as a special display for Christmas Magic in the Land of Châteaux.
