Located in southern Touraine, on the border with Poitou, this unique museum is a great place to learn about the history and works of philosopher René Descartes (1596-1650), writer and academician René Boylesve (1867-1926), and electrical engineer Gustave Trouvé (1839-1902).
Bringing together three museums in three buildings dedicated to three extraordinary figures born in Descartes, the Espace Muséal offers a unique insight into the history of the town. During your visit you will discover the three exceptional men who left their mark on their era. The Espace Muséal is also a digital museum presenting hundreds of works of art from national and international collections.
