Come and discover the former studio of American sculptor Alexander Calder, located in the heart of the Indre Valley. This emblematic building, entirely imagined and designed by Calder in the early 60s, has been preserved in keeping with its history. A place of inspiration for Calder, it was also a place to work and live, where the artist created his monumental works, the stabiles, now part of major collections.
Since 1989, the Atelier Calder has supported contemporary art by hosting artists in residence for three-month periods.
These Heritage Days will provide an opportunity to revisit the architectural history of this exceptional building, which has been awarded the "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture" label
