Gonzague Saint Bris was born in Touraine, in the royal city of Loches, and raised at Le Clos Lucé in Amboise, the last home of Leonardo da Vinci. Writer, historian and journalist, pioneer of free radio, winner of the Prix Interallié and founding president of La Forêt des Livres, this native of the region used to retire to write at his Chalet des Chasseurs in Chanceaux-près-Loches.
