The Autumn Gastronomy Festival

Give your taste buds a unique gastronomic adventure! Places are at a premium, so be among the first to register for the Automnales de la Gastronomie and let yourself be surprised by renowned chefs, revealed only on the big day. That’s the spice of Act 1 of the event.

Act 1 Who's the boss?!

To be more precise, Act 1 is entitled “La surprise des Chefs”. How does it work? As soon as registration is open, book a date on the Automnales de la gastronomie website. Wait, then… regale yourself with an excellent lunch, at the domaine de Candé in Monts, or at the partner educational establishments: the Lycée Albert Bayet, the Institution Notre-Dame la Riche and La Cité des Formations. This eagerly-awaited culinary event takes place between late September and late October, and each lunch is priced at a single rate. As for the identity of the chef officiating behind the stoves, it won’t be revealed until the last moment!

Act 2 The mystery of restaurants

This 2nd part of the Autumn Gastronomy Festival follows on from ” la surprise des chefs “, from November to December. Sign up on one of the proposed geographical areas, on a given date. And let yourself be surprised : the restaurant details will only be revealed to you a few days in advance.

As with act 1, the ” mystery restaurant ” formula is offered at a single price, drinks included.

A few words about Automnales de la Gastronomie

Since the creation of this event in 2015, the objective pursued has been to enhance the talent of chefs from Touraine and Loir-et-Cher, but also that of young people in training, who with this event have the opportunity to consolidate their experience. The Automnales de la Gastronomie thus helps to support an entire industry, including local producers!

Founded by Alain Chaplin (former chef of the Moulin Fleuri), Hubert Giblet (Azay-Chinon-Val de Loire Tourist Office) and Rémy Giraud (former two-starred chef at Onzain), the association Val de Loire Terres de gastronomie runs this event, and also offers gourmet walks throughout the year.
