Easter at Château du RivauTake a stroll through the enchanted gardens of Château du Rivau! Throughout the weekend, little ones (3 to 5 years old / at 10.30am and 5pm) will hunt for eggs with their parents. The 6-10 year olds (11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm) will be on the trail of the golden egg hen, without their parents but with a mediator from the château! Booking essential
Near Descartes, discover the lovely Ani’Maurice educational farm: during these 3 days, egg hunts take place at 11am, 2pm and 4pm, also booking required. In addition, pony rides, pedal tractors, a treasure hunt and a yoghurt bar will keep the kids happy!
Enjoy one of Touraine’s major springtime events: the great plant festival at Château de la Bourdaisière, with a host of exhibitors, talks, the sale of tomato plants from the château, and… 2 egg hunts, by reservation: for children aged 3 to 5 at 10.30am, and for families at 11.15am.
Try your hand atthe treasure hunt offered by Château d’Azay-le-Rideau. Children must find “beacon eggs”, then solve riddles… with some chocolates on offer at the end of the game! Entertainment throughout the Easter weekend, with no booking required and no additional admission charge. At the Pagode de Chanteloup d’Amboise, it’s also a treasure hunt waiting for you, with rides also planned for Monday April 21.
In all the outdoor areas of the château de Gizeux, 5-12 year-olds will be hunting for colourful eggs. And 2-4 year olds will be moving around in a dedicated area! Also from 19 to 21 April, find an egg of each colour at château de l’Islette in Azay-le-Rideau… and the sweet reward is yours! At Château Gaillard (Amboise), hunt for clementines!
Saturday and Sunday, if you find one of the 10 objects hidden in the grounds of the Château royal d’Amboise, run and swap it for a filled chocolate egg from the chocolaterie Bigot, at the foot of the château. From Sunday 20 and Monday 21 April 2025, your children will also be able to take part in an Easter egg hunt unlike any other at the Château de Langeais, based on riddles to be solved to discover the secrets of the dungeon from the year 1000… and win chocolate rewards! A Playmobil exhibition should be just as popular!
On the same dates, the Cité Rétro-Mécanique Maurice Dufresne is organising a bingo-dingo version of the hunt! Each child aged 3 to 14 is given an image on arrival; they have to put the pair back together to collect the chocolate. On site, also enjoy a special Easter lunchtime menu at Chez Jeannot restaurant.
Drive to the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil vineyards for an egg hunt among the vines,at the Domaine de La Chopinière du Roy (also Sunday and Monday), or to Saché for a novel hunt at the Musée Balzac. Last options on Monday: find the poem eggs at the Prieuré Saint Cosme, to convert them into real Easter eggs, or hunt for eggs in the water, at the Bulle d’O aquatic centre!
