The enchanting Montlouis vineyard circuit

Winding along the tuffeau hillsides, the cycle route takes you to the heart of one of the finest terroirs in the Loire Valley. From the centre of Amboise, pedal towards the heights where the rows of Chenin Blanc, the unique grape variety of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation, flourish . Halfway along the route, stop off at a rest area to admire the panorama. Further on, the green route leads past troglodytic cellars, silent witnesses to centuries-old know-how. The winegrowers open their doors to you for a well-deserved tasting break in the cool shade.

Tasting break with the winemakers

During your walk, Maison Laudacius welcomes you to its tufa galleries, where almost 2 million bottles of wine are aged. Let yourself be guided through this underground maze for a tasting of the great wines of Montlouis, all made from the Chenin grape variety. The Domaine de la Croix Mélier also opens the doors of its former cooperage, just a few pedal strokes from the cycle route.
