Cycling holidays in Touraine Itineraries and tours for everyone

Welcome to the roads of Touraine

A savvy tourist will immediately notice that no, there are no mountains in Touraine! That’s the glass half empty. However, our many vineyards always make us look at the glass as half full: the lack of relief means that as many people as possible (including families with young children) can hop on a bike and enjoy a merry ride with their hands on the handlebars and a smile on their face.

From the banks of the Loire to the slopes of the vineyards, via the majestic avenues of the châteaux, let yourself be carried along by the rhythm of the byways, where picturesque villages and bucolic landscapes set the scene for your next adventure on two wheels.

Touraine castles

Pedal along the shady back roads leading to the most beautiful châteaux in the region. From Chenonceau to Villandry, some twenty kilometres of greenways guide you through varied landscapes. Stop off along the way to admire the French-style gardens orthe vineyards.

The route offers refreshing stops in typical villages, where the white tufa stone houses tell the story of Touraine. For an unforgettable weekend, take the major multi-day itineraries below.

Note also that some fifty cycle loops invite you to enjoy lovely rides lasting a few hours (from 8km to 49km). The panoramic views over the Loire and the valleys will reward you for your efforts.
