Running in September: ideal conditions

Breathe in the invigorating air of the September matinees in Touraine! The average temperature of 18°C at the start offers optimal running comfort, while the morning coolness gradually gives way to a gentle warmth. The century-old plane trees on the banks of the Loire naturally protect you from the sun on many sections of the course.

The golden light of this period sublimates the tufa facades, creating a unique atmosphere for your race. Showers are rare in this season, with an average of just 3 days of rain over the month. The gentle breeze from the royal river is a pleasant accompaniment to your stride, without ever becoming an obstacle to your performance.

A perfectly balanced climate that makes the September marathon a privileged time to achieve your best performances in Touraine.
