An 11th- and 12th-century Romanesque collegiate church, notable for its polychrome portal dating from around 1150 and two octagonal domes known as “dubes.”
Dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, the Saint-Ours collegiate church is located in the heart of the royal city of Loches. Its architecture has two exceptional features: a multi-coloured portal, sculpted with characters and fantastical creatures, which is considered to be the best preserved in Touraine, and two octagonal pyramids called «dubes», which are unique in France. It is here that Agnès Sorel, favourite of Charles VII is laid to rest; her tomb has recently been restored.
