Dive into the largest troglodyte cellars in Touraine, dating back to the 12th century. And you can even take your children with you: there’s a booklet and game for them to discover the world of wine and the history of the site as a family. Tufa quarrying, silkworm rearing, mushroom farming, wine-making… you’ll know it all!
Take a guided or self-guided tour of this other large troglodyte cellar, which houses 6 million bottles and is owned by a winegrowers’ cooperative. As an introduction, you’ll discover the appellation’s star grape variety: chenin. Are you a gamer? Book ahead for the escape game!
Start your visit by taking an audio-guided tour of the vineyard, which explains the work carried out in the vines at different times of the year. Then go on to taste the Crémant de Loire and Touraine-Azay-le-Rideau AOC wines.
A garden of aromas to learn about biodynamic farming, a cellar with a large street art fresco, a tasting offer and local nibbles… choose the formula that inspires you and, above all, set off to meet winegrowers who are passionate and deeply committed!
Start by admiring the vineyards surrounding the château. Then push open the estate door for a wine and chocolate tasting, or a wine and cheese and charcuterie tasting. Would you like to take an educational walk through the vineyards, or spend the night at the estate? It’s all possible!
Discover a magnificent sculpted cellar that has been enhanced in recent years by a remarkable scenographic trail dedicated to the musings of François Rabelais. After a tasting and perhaps a purchase of the many local products on offer, extend the experience with a pleasant 10-kilometre hike!
Admire the architecture of this château, surrounded by plots of vines through which you can stroll. Inside, AOC Chinon wines (and fine bubbles) are tasted in a contemporary cellar. Remarkably landscaped, you can even organise your wedding here!
We can’t help but admire the long-term work carried out by Pierre Sourdais to patiently dig out his cellar. Yes, HIS cellar, with a trail highlighting the major stages of life, naturally echoing the winemaker himself. On the tasting side, you’ll appreciate the beautiful expression of the Cabernet Franc grape variety in these organic wines typical of the Chinon AOC. Special mention goes to the Stanislas cuvée, made from old vines.
In the morning, push open the door of the Maison Laudacius and follow a complete tour, from the cellars to bottling, via the winery. All commented by an audio guide! The tasting of the different wines takes place in a boutique stocked with a wide range of references. Then lunch at the Gueuleton restaurant, before a leisurely stroll around the island of Bondésir. A complete programme!
