Fifty years after the deaths of Max Ernst and Alexander Calder, this project brings their legacy into dialogue with contemporary art. Both artists profoundly transformed drawing: Max Ernst by liberating the gesture through open-ended processes, and Alexander Calder by projecting the line into space. Drawing is no longer merely a trace, but an experience. Opening: Friday 16 October from 5.00 pm, attended by the artists. Free admission Guided tours of the exhibition at 5.00 pm on Saturdays, by booking only Sunday 1 November: Brunch’Art – Guided tour of the exhibition followed by brunch at the Art Centre, attended by the artists.
