Winners of the Mécénat Touraine Entreprises prize, Laura Bottereau & Marine Fiquet are a duo and a couple of artists. Their approach is based on solid research, particularly into the history of anatomy. They reflect on body simulacra as archives and fragments to be recomposed to shape new discourses and emancipatory fictions. Through the figure of the anatomical Venus, their exhibition develops the idea of the "body-catastrophe", symbolically linking atmospheric phenomena and physical or psychic turbulence.
