The media library is exhibiting a dozen plates from children's books published by Ecole des loisirs. Trees represent the seasons, the passage of time and regeneration. They are our breath. They provide us with wood, fruit, foliage to feed animals, shade and air. Without them, our life on earth would be impossible. Trees also inspire writers because of their symbolic power: they are the space of childhood and a metaphor for growth. Looking at trees, soaking up their beauty, wisdom and solidity, is a simple and immense pleasure.
