Young and old alike are invited to explore the Château du Clos Lucé in a warm and festive atmosphere. During the school holidays, a programme of activities adds to the experience and offers new ways to explore the grounds.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the château is adorned with a majestic Christmas tree, tables laden with traditional treats, 19th-century nativity figurines and elegant floral arrangements. The fires crackle in the fireplaces.
During the school holidays, creative workshops for the whole family offer the chance to make items to take home. Dramatised tours take place in the château, during which Pierrette Dupoyet, an iconic figure of the Avignon Off Festival, plays the part of Leonardo da Vinci. She recounts his arrival in Amboise, his relationship with François I, and the projects he undertook at the Clos Lucé, whilst fondly reminiscing about his life in Italy.
