For its new summer production, the Nouveau Théâtre de Manse returns to the classics with a little-known play from Boris Vian’s repertoire: *Le Goûter des Généraux*.
Written in 1951, the play was not published until 1962 by the Collège de Pataphysique, after the author’s death, and premiered in 1964. This absurd fable features generals forced by the political powers that be to wage war. Over a simple afternoon tea, they debate battle strategy… Funny, biting, and resolutely political, the play has lost none of its edge.
All the ingredients are in place for a wonderful summer evening in the courtyard of the Château de Crissay-sur-Manse, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
The actors are waiting for you! A post-show reception will follow the performance.
