Description
Open Screens, Tasting, Opening Reception
For this year’s final Plein Phare, %C9crans Ouverts celebrates major discomforts, magnificent oddities, and characters on the verge of losing it. A father consumed by anxiety, a maggot in search of food, two clowns in a cemetery, a son unable to leave the family nest? The films in this selection navigate between black humor, absurdity, gritty poetry, and uncomfortable tenderness. An evening where you might laugh nervously at times, where you’ll often grimace, but where each short film finds its own unique way of addressing loneliness, fear, or the need for love.
