Invited by the Festival de la Templerie the day before, the Opus 29 quartet offers a concert at l'église st Pierre st Paul (free participation) on Sunday May 31. Founded in 1998, the quartet is involved in a variety of eclectic artistic projects: today, it is accompanied by a bassoon with Philippe David, born in Touraine where he learned music at the Joué-lès-Tours conservatory, and now a musician and teacher at the CRR in Brest. The original program highlights new sounds combining the string quartet and the bassoon, an instrument often relatively unknown to the general public.
