On Friday 12th February 2027 at 8.30 pm, the Viva theatre company will be performing at the Théâtre Beaumarchais in Amboise, staging a production of “Cyrano”, a play inspired by the life of Cyrano de Bergerac.
The Viva theatre company invites you to discover the life of Cyrano de Bergerac through its production “Cyrano”, with a performance to be held at the Théâtre Beaumarchais in Amboise on Friday 12 February 2027 at 8.30 pm.
It is a five-act story of the life of Cyrano de Bergerac, a tragic and endearing hero whose brilliance with words and the sword is matched only by the length of his nose. Cyrano, rendered incapable of confessing his love to Roxane by the ugliness of this appendage, finds a kindred spirit in Christian, who is also in love with the beautiful woman. Whilst Christian is pleasing to the eye, he lacks wit to the point of being paralysed by it. Cyrano offers to be Christian’s voice in order to win Roxane over: he will be the beauty and Christian the wit.
