The best views for 14 july fireworks!

When the Fête nationale comes around, Touraine lights up with a thousand fires! Between the Loire, Cher and Creuse, the reflections of the pyrotechnic shows amaze young and old alike. Here’s where you can feast your eyes!

The best spots (dates 2025 to come)

The festivities kick off on Sunday 13 July in Monnaie, where the fireworks will be fired at the lake (with musical entertainment and catering provided by the fire brigade) as well as in l’Ile Bouchard on the banks of the Vienne and in Azay-sur-Cher. The same should be true of Chambray-lès-Tours (lakeside, with refreshments and food from 7.30pm), Joué-lès-Tours, and Ballan-Miré (Lac des Bretonnières), with superb light shows.

If the 9th stage of the Tour de France will enliven Chinon on July 13, it will give way the following day to the Fireworks display on 14 July 2025, which always draws a big crowd in front of the majestic royal fortress of Chinon.

The 14 July apotheosis

In Tours, where a drone show was proposed in 2024 during the bank holidays, the 2025 programme should soon be known. On the banks of the Loire, Amboise is a key destination for the evening of 14 July. Its fireworks are due to be fired at 11pm from the eastern tip of the Île d’Or. Other spots also worth a diversion include:

Descartes and its superb viewpoint over the Creuse (to be discovered on site: the René Boylesve garden).
Savonnières and its enchanting setting on the banks of the Cher. On site, a world cuisine market will delight visitors!

Other towns and villages in Indre-et-Loire will also be lighting up their skies:

La Ville-aux-Dames on Sunday 13 July at the Etang Robineau.
Montlouis-sur-Loire: Monday 14 July, programme to follow.
Loches and Le Grand-Pressigny on Monday 14 July: fireworks followed by popular dances.
Yzeures-sur-Creuse: extension of the festivities with a fireworks display on Saturday 19 July.
Bléré: fireworks display as part of the Jour de Cher event, also on 19 July.

Nighttime shows to extend the magic

Finally, for an even more immersive experience, take a look at the events on offer at nightfall in the monuments, such as the show “Amboise, destinées royales”, the flânerie nocturne at the château d’Azay-le-Rideau or the nuits des mille feux in the gardens of Villandry.
