The Joy of Christmas Markets A stroll, gifts and treats
Guided by the twinkling lights, breathe in the scents of spices and mulled wine, and hunt for gifts amongst the stallholders offering all manner of goods! Then comes the moment when you’ll succumb to the temptation of a sweet treat. Waffles, crêpes, churros, roasted chestnuts, cinnamon doughnuts… savour a treat still warm from the oven, and carry on with your stroll.
InTours, the Christmas market runs from 27 November to 27 December 2026 on Boulevard Heurteloup and Place de la Résistance. Also on the programme are L’autre marché (5 and 6 December 2026) and the Léon market (12 and 13 December 2026).
The town centres of Amboise, Chinon and Loches will also come alive for a weekend, as will other venues: the Art Hôtel, Rochecotte Castle, the Domaine de Cangé and Bourgueil Abbey. The wine estates are not to be outdone, with Christmas markets at Valmer Castle and Moncontour Castle!
Also in Tours, a foodie village brings the banks of the Loire to life, complete with a Ferris wheel and an ice rink.
