Vitiloire The great Loire Valley wine festival

35,000 visitors are expected to attend Vitiloire on 30 and 31 May 2026 in front of Tours railway station! With nearly 160 exhibitors, winegrowers and food artisans, Vitiloire is the essential event in the Centre-Val de Loire region to discover the wines of the Loire Valley. It’s also an opportunity to discover the latest culinary trends.

Vitiloire, on the road to 2026!

The vineyards of the Loire Valley stretch over no less than 800 kilometres. So the range of colours and flavours is vast. By bringing together 140 wineries representing 70 AOCs, Vitiloire offers a vast overview and a superb oenological weekend in prospect!

The principle is simple: buy your tasting glass (€6) and then wander around the stands, tasting notebook in hand to note down the vintages that have seduced you. At the end of the tour, you can add to your cellar by keeping your purchases under control.

Vitiloire events

On Sunday, from 12.30 to 1.30 pm, take part in a public wine-tasting master class led by sommeliers! Look closely at the colour, assess the nose, then try to associate the first sip with flavours you know. An aroma of pear, a touch of cherry, a hint of lemon, or a scent of violet… It’s sometimes very difficult to open the right box in your brain and make the connection. That said, don’t despair: with hard work, your library of tastes and smells will get bigger and bigger, and better and better organised.

The great Loire wine test

Be one of the 100 participants in this great test by signing up for this great event taking place at the Palais des Congrès on Sunday from 8.30am to 12pm. During the tastings, you’ll try to discover the grape variety, the appellation and even the vintage for the most discerning palates!

The Vitiloire gourmet village

Another not-to-be-missed event at Vitiloire, the gourmet village showcases the finest products of Loire gastronomy, and is a great success every year. Take your pick from the specialities on offer by the fifteen or so food artisans before taking a seat and enjoying a match with one of the carefully selected bottles.

The chefs’ pavilion

In the afternoon, real gastronomic shows will be put on by some of the world’s greatest chefs. Taking a day out from the stoves behind which they have built their reputations, they will be taking part in this educational exercise!
