When the show begins, La Boite à Merveilles - an object inspired by the tradition of curiosity cabinets - is closed, still guarding all its secrets. Then the two actresses appear and gradually open all the doors of the box. The children then discover the set, watch the accessories being set up to music, and see the albums - centered on the theme of beasts and bugs - appear, as if in a small library. The Boite à Merveilles then becomes a kind of miniature theater, animated by the two actresses who bring the chosen books to life.
